The following table provides a summary of how IriusRisk standards function and how they are used.
|What do standards do?||Standards provide guidance for when a specific countermeasure should move from recommended to required on the threat model.|
|How are standards applied?||
Standards can be applied to the threat model from the threats tab. A list of all applicable standards that apply to the recommended countermeasures will appear in this list. Once a specific countermeasure has been selected, those countermeasures will move from a recommended to a required status.
|How are new standards defined?||
New standards are defined on the security content tab > standards.
|How are countermeasures added to new standards?||
Each countermeasure that needs to be added to the standard must have a standard tag applied to it within its respective library.
