In this article: 

• Creating a new asset type

Permissions required: 

• SYSTEM_SETTINGS_UPDATE (to edit assets)
• SYSTEM_SETTINGS_VIEW (to view assets)

Instructions: 

1. Select the objects customization tab and select assets
2. Select new at the bottom of the screen
3. Input the require information for the asset (Name & Security Classification) and add optional information (Description)
4. Click save

A new asset should be defined and this asset type should be visual when you are completing component questionnaires. 

Verify that this asset can be viewed in your threat model by selecting an IriusRisk component, right click, and select Complete questionnaire. 

The previously defined new asset should be visible in the questionnaire on the assets tab.
