The updated way to add new component types in IriusRisk is by leveraging Component Definitions. We can insert components within libraries or create them directly. To create new Component Definitions, we follow the below steps:
Firstly, we go to the Configuration section.
And then to the Component Definitions tab.
In this tab, we click the button "+ New Definition" to create a new component definition.
The bottom panel is now activated and we enter the desired name of the component definition.
The component definition "Unique ID" is auto generated. We can add a description and select a category from the drop-down list or alternatively add a new category by writing the new category name and pressing the Enter button.
Next, we assign this component definition to a risk pattern by selecting the library which contains the risk pattern.
And then select the corresponding risk pattern of the selected library.
We can now see the risk pattern included in the right panel.
Finally, we click the "save" button to create the new component definition.
Now, we can see the new component definition in the table above.
And when we create a new project - or open an existing project - we can select the new component definition and insert it into our model.
