On occasions, it can come handy to import the diagram of a project to a different IriusRisk instance, for example, from your Dev environment to your Prod environment, if for any reason you don't want or can't to export the full project.
This article will explain the steps to do it.

Then proceed to import it as suggested in this link: Importing Diagrams
After this, we only would need to update the threat model to save the change in your project, but the problem could happen if you have a custom trust zone. Even if that custom has the same names and settings on both environments, it will have a different ir.ref on each environment, and if you try to update the diagram, you will have an error like:
Diagram synchronize validation failed
The component <component_name> must be included to an existing trust zone.
To avoid the error, you can Edit the style of the trust zone by clicking on it and selecting Edit on the right panel of the diagram (Style tab), then Edit Stile:
At that point, you will only need to substitute the ir.ref of the component for the one that the trust zone has, in the new environment (it can be checked by adding the trust zone in the diagram and editing its style as well) and apply the change:
